Outline panel

The outline is a full outliner and the accessible way to edit with a screen reader.

  • ↑/↓ move between topics; Shift extends the selection
  • → expand or go to the first child; ← collapse or go to the parent
  • Enter new sibling, Ctrl/⌘+Enter new child
  • Tab/Shift+Tab indent / outdent
  • F2 rename, Alt+↑/↓ reorder, Space collapse

While editing a topic

  • Enter finish (on a new topic, also starts the next sibling)
  • Tab finish and add a child
  • Shift+Enter new line inside the topic
  • Esc cancel

Shortcuts never fire while an input method editor (IME) is composing text, so Chinese, Japanese and Korean input works normally.
