Privacy policy

Content you create or import

Map text, notes, links, tags, imported files (Markdown, OPML, Word, PDF and others), pasted text and exported files are processed by JavaScript running in your browser. They are stored in your browser’s local storage (IndexedDB) and are never transmitted to us or to third parties. We cannot see, recover or delete them for you.

What our servers receive

The site is a set of static files served by a hosting/CDN provider. Like any website, loading those files reveals standard request information — your IP address, browser user-agent, the page URL and time — to the host, which may keep short-lived logs for security and operations. Map identifiers are kept after the “#” in editor URLs, which browsers do not send to servers.

Analytics

This version contains no analytics scripts. If we add privacy-focused measurement in future, it will record only coarse, content-free events (for example “export completed: PNG”) and will never include map titles, topic text, file names, prompts or file contents. This policy will be updated before that happens.

Advertising

Some editorial pages (guides, templates, examples) may display ads from Google AdSense, which uses cookies and may personalise ads according to your choices and applicable law. Ads are never placed in the editor, on the homepage topic box or on converter tools, so ad scripts are not loaded on pages where your content is present. Where required, a consent prompt is shown before ad cookies are used.

Optional on-device AI

No AI model is used in this version. If optional on-device models are added, downloading one will contact the model’s file host (revealing your IP address, as any download does). Your prompts and map content will still be processed only on your device.

Links you add

We never fetch links in your map automatically. Opening a link is your action and contacts that website directly.

Children

The service collects no personal information and is suitable for classroom use without student accounts.

Your choices

Delete individual maps, empty the trash, or remove everything with Delete all local data in My maps. Clearing your browser’s site data has the same effect. How storage works
